New Yoruba King Enthroned In Ondo State After The Predecessor Died

Kings are very important figures in Yoruba land. They are the rulers that oversee the economic, social and spiritual welfare of the people of the community which they rule over.

The Ikare Akoko tribe in Ondo state are currently celebrating the installation of a new king after the death of the immediate past king.

It is a saying that “if a king don’t die, another can not be Enthroned”.

Ikare Akoko is a unique town that have two kings in Yoruba land. The two Kings have the title of “Owa-ale Of Ikare Akoko and Olukare of Ikare” respectively.

The name of the new king is His Royal Majesty, Oba Adeleke Adefemi Adedoyin.

The celebration came after the Governor of Ondo State, Arakunrin Odunayo Akeredolu okayed the coronation of the new king.

Therefore, the people of Ikare land are rejoicing and have started congratulating the king physically and medially as peaceful atmosphere is currently being observed in the palace..
