Kidnapped Owerri Catholic Bishop Regains Freedom

The Auxiliary Bishop of Owerri Archdiocese, Mose Chikwe, can now breathe some fresh air as he has been released by his kidnappers.

Spokesman of the police in Imo, Orlando Ikeokwu, corroborated the release of the Catholic Bishop and some other victims after they carried out an operation on the kidnappers. The Christian Association of Nigeria condemned the act and called for more protection for people of higher status in the country. The Bishop was rescued without the payment of any ransom.
