Few days in 2021 and the Nigerian movie industry was thrown into mourning as it lost a veteran actress Mrs Folake Aremu.

Until her sad death, Folake Aremu who was well known as Orisabunmi, was a household name in the Yoruba-cinema.She has played some iconic roles like ‘Asabi’ in “Oluwerimagboojo”, and the priestess in “Ayanmo Eda” .

The Kwara born actress became famous from the 80s for her roles as a priestess, pacifist or the good witch in movies. She died last night at the age of 60.

Her ex-husband,Jimoh Aliu ,who was also a veteran actor died on the 17th of September 2020 at the age of 81.

Until death snatched her away, late Folake Aremu was fond of wishing her sons and daughter a happy birthday on social media. Below are photos of her children
